Net Radiation
The balance of radiation at a surface — incoming solar and longwave minus reflected solar and emitted longwave. It is the primary energy source for evaporation in radiation-driven methods.
Net radiation sets the energy available to be partitioned between heating the air, heating the water and evaporating water. It depends on latitude, season, cloud cover and the surface albedo.
